For me, painting is a dialogue between intention and accident. Each brushstroke begins with purpose, yet something unforeseen always emerges in the process — as if I were painting in a waking dream.
Over time, my style has evolved from semi-abstract forms toward realism — a realm I like to think of as fantastic realism, where imagination and observation intertwine. My work often draws from Estonia’s mystical atmosphere, where wild nature, silence, and myth still shape the landscape.
Before fully devoting myself to painting, I spent twenty years as a game designer and artist. That experience taught me about world-building and storytelling — skills that now find a quieter, more introspective expression on canvas.
I hold an MA in Law from the University of Tartu and after that BA from Pallas University of Applied Sciences in Tartu, Estonia, where I had the honour of learning painting under Peeter Allik, Kalli Kalde and Meiu Münt.
I am official member of Tartu Artists’ Union.
